Other effects include delay, flanger and reverb.
Serato Scratch Live
This program is easy to use and very reliable. Even though it is available for free, the hardware needed to use the program can be somewhat expensive. Each individual unit can cost over $1000. The price tag is definitely worth it, however, as Serato Scratch Live is used by all of the top DJs in the world.
VirtualDJ Pro
Virtual DJ Pro is one of the most heavily downloaded mixing programs in the world. It allows performers to operate four decks at once, and the seamless iTunes integration makes it one of the best programs out there. Recently, Atomix Productions updated the Virtual DJ program by adding ‘Rewire,’ a feature reminiscent of ‘The Bridge’ in Serato.
Ableton
Ableton Push is arguably the best DJ controller on the market. Developed by Akai Professional, the Push hardware is a very capable and versatile piece of equipment. The only downside is it’s very expensive. The Ableton software, however, is affordable and fully equipped with a variety of plugins and effects.
